Marshmallow or Althaea officinalis

Althaea officinalis, or marsh-mallow

It is a perennial species growing in Europe, Western Asia, and North Africa. Althaea officinalis is used in herbalism and as an ornamental plant.
The name, Althaea, is derived from the Greek (to cure), from its supposed healing properties.
The leaves, flowers and the root of Marshmallow have been used in traditional herbal medicine to treat some respiratory conditions, arthritis, diarrhea and more. The marsh mallow is also used in cosmetics, soap, skincare products, lotions, haircare products and more.
